3 Weeks Count Down: A To Do List

6/24/2014

I'm in that place where I'm so excited to go to Colombia, that I want these three weeks to fly by. At the same time, my summer sans work is set to begin in just a couple of sweet days (school ended on at the end of May and overlapped with moonlighting as a mentor for pre-service teachers.) So, the space between a couple of days from now and leaving for Colombia is, well, my summer.

We've yet to receive info about our placement in Colombia, but I'm keeping myself occupied with research about Colombia. Some sources have been more heady than others.
I've also been enjoying some light and fun commentary about Colombia.
Oh, it's been great fun to begin to learn about Colombia, and I've begun to draft a To-Do-While-I'm-In-Colombia List.

To Do/ Try While I'm in Colombia
in no particular order and certainly not complete

Visit El Museo del Oro
Eat a variety of arepas
visit a beach on the Caribbean coast
Empanadas
I'd love to teach a lesson to students in Spanish
chocolate colombiano
Visit an outdoor market
Patacones
Try a variety of luscious fruits
Salsa dancing
People watch, even for a little bit, in a plaza
Visit Cerro de Monserrate
