Teach Global - ideas and resources

Country Study: Peru
I had the privilege of traveling to Peru in the summer of 2016 through the Fulbright-Hays Program. This curriculum project reflects my classroom practice and how I incorporate Peru into curriculum for my students. I hope that other teachers find all of parts of this curriculum useful.

iEARN
http://collaborate.iearn.org/
Learn with the world, not just about it. Join interactive curriculum-based groups in which students are creating, researching, sharing opinions, and becoming global citizens.
This Spring, my 8th Grade Social Studies class is participating in an iEARN Learning Circle called Places and Perspectives.
My 6th Grade Social Studies/ Language Arts class is participating in an iEARN Scrapbook Project.
This is the first time I've participated in iEARN projects. The Places and Perspectives project is set up to be well-structured with guided work for teachers and students along with deadlines. It is exciting to participate with teachers from around the globe. The scrapbook project is not as structured. I've set up a page for my class and I hope to start uploading students' scrapbook pages soon.
